We are New Brunswick's Environmental Law Clinic

clinicSince 2007, the NBELS has been running an Environmental Law Clinic in order to provide various legal services to the public.  The legal services offered at the clinic range from basic information on various environmental law issues to research projects to legal representation before courts, government commissions and tribunals.  Most clinic services are offered on a pro-bono basis, depending on the complexity of the matter and the client's financial resources.

We also meet groups in their communities and discuss their issues and the law.  Contact us anytime.

Research projects: Organizations can propose a research project.  Research projects are selected twice a year, in January and August.  Proponents must fill out a request form and explain the environmental issue they are facing.  Interested organizations should contact the clinic by telephone or email. 

Legal representation: It is possible to obtain legal representation. The NBELS manages a Lawyer Referral List which is regularly updated and available upon request. Inclusion on the list does not imply an endorsement or recommendation by the NBELS of the services of these firms, individuals or organizations.
