Using the law to protect the “mental environment” |

Michel DesNeiges' EnviroLaw Blog, Saturday, February 6th, 2010 Is noise pollution an environmental issue? Should environmental groups take up battles to protect peoples’ rights to not be exposed to excessive vibrations, noisy air-conditioners and the like? We are often asked by New Brunswickers if the NBELS could help in addressing these types of concerns in urban areas. So far, our answer has been that these types of issues fall outside of our stated mission, although we sympathize with any individual exposed to excessive noise in their home environment. |
